Beaver1600 (“Beaver1600,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-assisted SAT preparation service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Because many of our users are students between 13 and 18 years old, we have written this policy to be as clear as possible and included a dedicated section on children’s privacy.
We collect the following categories of information:
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is handled by our authentication provider (Amazon Cognito) and is never stored by us in readable form.
To personalize your tutoring, we collect the performance information you provide and generate as you use the product, including self-assessed information (such as your target score, goals, and how confident you feel about different topics) and measured performance data (such as your answers to practice questions, scores, timing, and progress over time).
We collect the messages you exchange with the AI tutor, including the questions you ask and the context you share, so the tutor can respond and so you can revisit your conversations.
We collect basic usage and device information, such as the features you use, pages you visit, the platform you sign in from (web, iOS, or Android), and general technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Beaver1600’s tutor is powered by large language models (LLMs). When you chat with the tutor or request explanations, the relevant content of your messages and performance data is processed by these models through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock in order to generate a response.
Your chat content and performance data are not used to train the underlying AI models. We use AWS Bedrock’s standard processing, under which your inputs and outputs are not retained by the model providers to train their foundation models. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information (such as financial or health details) in your chats, as they are not needed for SAT prep.
Your data is stored and processed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States. If you access Beaver1600 from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Beaver1600 is intended for SAT preparation, and many of our users are teenagers. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Beaver1600 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use Beaver1600 or provide any information to us.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live), you should review this policy and our Terms of Service with a parent or guardian, and you should only use Beaver1600 with their knowledge and consent. We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their student’s use of the service.
Consistent with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has provided us information may contact us at dula@fuainc.com to request its deletion.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing us at dula@fuainc.com. We will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and managed authentication, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials confidential.
You can access and update your account information within the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at dula@fuainc.com, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Beaver1600 after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, please contact us at dula@fuainc.com.
